Core Kinesis

Another exercise will be on the chopping block.  I am trying Core Kinesis out this weekend.  Best part is that it's free!  What's new with me?  Will keep you posted on how it goes.

Of Wedding Invites

Since it's the eve of our wedding month, I've decided to talk about our wedding.  I'm a practical kinda gal most of the time. I splurge in what I believe in and scrimp on the things I think are not so important.

Invitations are important!  Why?  Because it sets the tone of your wedding.  True, everyone will throw it eventually(or am I the only one?) but for the last 2 weeks before your wedding, that is what everyone is going to talk about.  So make it nice enough for it to spark interest, but don't waste too much money on it because it's literally throwing your money in the trash can.

Gardenia Plant Tour Pictures

A couple of weeks back, the kids got to visit the Gardenia Plant.  As I have mentioned before it's a free tour, but you just have to schedule in advance.

The Mind Museum I

The kids were excited to go to the Mind Museum.  Since it's new, it's in much better state than Museo Pambata.  Most of the guests were from sponsor companies.  There were only just a handful of us donors.  For every donor, 4 public school students are ensured entrance to the Mind Museum.

We were 45 minutes early!

Bobbi's Mastering the Basics

Last week I attended Studio SnR's Bobbi's Mastering the Basics.  It was an intimate class of about 20 women who wanted to learn about putting make up.

Gardenia Plant Tour

Here's another thing you can do with your kids.  The best part, it's free!  Yahoo!

Gardenia Bread offers free tours to their factory.  All you have to do is call them up at (02) 889-8890 loc. 258 and schedule one.  They will ask for a letter of request (if you are a private group not a school) indicating the names of the participants, ages and school/occupation whatever is applicable.

Better to schedule a week in advance.  The stafff is very accomodating.  The plant is in Laguna and the whole tour takes an hour.  At the end of the tour, you are greeted by the Gardenia mascots (Yes, Bread can have mascots too apparently) and you can buy bread at a cheaper price.

Total deal.  I'll let you know more about it after our tour.

The Goose Station or Elbert's Steak Room

We did neither.

Karl and I were deciding on these two restaurants for Valentine's.  He reserved for both, cramming for our final decision.  Eventually we ended up in Lu (Lulu?), Rockwell.  He told me he just had a reason, I didn't know why but I just went along with it.

I was kinda getting pissed with the little things- How he did not dress up for Valentine's (He was the only guy in the restaurant who was not wearing a buttoned down shirt!!!), how he was being mean and pushy to the waiter, and all these other things.

Of Class Pictures II

So I complained about Mia's pictures before, and I made sure this time around I wouldn't commit the same mistakes.

I think I made sure everything went well, too well, in fact that I had a harm time choosing which pictures to order!

I love her smile on her first picture.  Too bad she was holding a placard!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

While I am waiting for my other blog post to finally load (The video is taking FOREVER!), here's a picture of Mia tonight.

Her comment, "Mooooooooom, why do I only get 2 flowers today?".  Feelingera!

Sunday at Manila Peninsula

Does their mascot have a name? Like Susie and Geno

We attended Manila Peninsula's "Mommy, Be My Valentine!" cake decorating class.  Mia and Caleb were over the moon because a. It's "cooking" b. They were going to be together in a class.

Mommy, Be My Valentine!

I'm a such a sucker for kid related stuff!

As a mother, I love making Mia make the most out of her childhood.  Anything that does not equal going to the mall, I'm usually in.  It might cost a lot of $$$, but I just keep on rationalizing that what about the memories she'd have.  Haha... Mom is a sucker!

Here's a different take on Valentine's day.  Manila Peninsula is offering a cake decorating class for dads and kids as a gift for mom.  For one adult and two kids, you get one 8" Red Velvet cake to decorate.  Total cost with all the taxes total to P1,964.80.  It's going to be this Sunday, February 12 from 2-4pm.  Limited slots, so hurry!

For more information you can call (02) 815-4825.

Of Class Pictures

It's that time of the year again when Mia had to take her class picture in school.

What I like about her school is that the kids can wear their "Sunday Best" and actually pose and have a solo shot.  Last year, I prepped Mia tirelessly on how to smile.  I made sure she had a cute outfit- a crisp white button down polo with a dainty blue skirt.  I made sure her hair was fixed and although minimal, had some accessories on.

Month of Love

Since it's the month of loveeeeee, I want to share with you our not so long lost wedding video.  There are two of these, just search for the other one if you find this one amusing.

This was one of our AVPs in our wedding done by Nice Print Photo.  Enjoy!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez!

It's been a month!  I'm so late in posting.  My friend Bea got married to the love of her life Martin last January 2.  It's a great way to start the year, if you ask me.  Wedding and reception were held in Tagaytay Midlands.

M is for Mia

A Donya by 30 x Bobbi's Mastering the Basics

Before I became a Mahaderang Frog, my mantra in life has been a Donya by 30.  I'm one and a half years away from that.  What happens after I turn 30?  I hide in a cave forever with my sagging skin and wrinkles... I  kid!  I really don't know what my goal will be after then but since I have a few more months to think about, let's just do the Donya by 30 for now.

I don't really have a New Year's resolution and since both the normal(?) New Year and Chinese New Year have passed without me making resolutions, I have decided to make my resolutions pegged to my Donya by 30 goal.

This is it!  First thing on my list is, learn to put on make up.  I have been putting this off since high school ever since my friend(You know who you are I am scarred for life! O.A.) told me I looked like someone punched me in the face a.k.a. I put on eye shadow.  I have always described myself as a baklang kabayo (gay horse. Not that I really know what a gay horse looks like but I digress) when I put make up on.
