The Goose Station

with our main course, Steak! YUM!
For our 5th year anniversary, Karl and I ate at the Goose Station, Fort.  We kinda got lost getting there.  The person who answered their phone didn't give great directions.

The Goose Station, contrary to Karl's belief that their specialty is goose, chicken, fowl etc., is a play on words that epitomize the owners' fondness for the degustacion  experience.  It is ranked the 3rd best restaurant in the country based on the 2011-2012 Miele Guide.

You can't order just a single dish.  Basically when you order, it will either be a 3 course (1 appetizer, 1 main course and 1 dessert) or 4 course (2 appetizers, 1 main course and 1 dessert OR 1 appetizer, 1 main course and 2 desserts).  In between, you get free surprises!  Yes, I love surprises :)

Free appetizer: Grape, Lychee, Ice and some other things

Free appetizer: Pate in a crepe/cone thingy

Free appetizer: Chips with 2 dips- guacamole or vinegar

My ordered appetizer: Spaghetti- wrong choice

Karl's appetizer: Foie gras, because it's the "specialty"

Karl's dessert: Chocolate bar- Sowlid!

My dessert: Very fluffy cheesecake with mixed berries

Free dessert: Popcorn flavored macaroons and strawberry

Price range is from P1,600 up.  The steak was around P2,400.  I loved it :) Great way to celebrate our anniversary.
