A couple of weeks back, the kids got to visit the Gardenia Plant. As I have mentioned before it's a free tour, but you just have to schedule in advance.
We started the tour with a video about the company. Gardenia was chosen as a name because like the flower, the company wanted to make bread that smelled good, was fluffy and white.
Doesn't this look so All-American? |
We couldn't take pictures during the tour itself. Basically their main factory can produce 6,000 loaves in an hour! Uh-mazing! After the tour, there was a bread store where we can buy bread at factory price. Wheeee!
