Happy Yoga Birthday to Me!

It's been two years since I first started.  In between, I got dengue, a "real" job, and a few trips here and there.  I tried other exercises but I still go back to Bikram.

Standing head to knee
Just like any birthday, I celebrated it... With yoga practice.  I even had a guest.  Haha.  Thanks Em for practicing with me.

Here's to two years and counting!

*Thanks Dana for the picture.

Urban Ashram Manila

Finally!  Another fitness post!

It took me awhile to blog about this because my camera makes a sound while taking pictures and I was scared they would tell me taking pictures is not allowed.  Dork!

Funky lockers!

Signature Pose

I am inspired by Bianca Gonzales' tumbling shot pose.  Check out her September 10, 2011 entry (I can't link it directly, you have to look for it).  Amazing!  Makes me want to have my signature pose.  No, I will not do a model pose like Mia's.  That's her signature.

Anyways, take that Kim Chiu!  Yes, I know she's not competing with me but I think mine is fairly decent.  So I guess this was the pose they were channeling for this advertisement.

Pigeon pose. I made the picture distorted. Duh.

My officemate suggested this be my signature pose.  Hindi ko kaya!
  1. My clothes will get dirty.
  2. I will look ridiculous.
  3. I will look ridiculous.
  4. I will look ridiculous.
  5. My husband will disown me.
This list is in no particular order.

Yoga date night is back!

I tricked someone in agreeing to buy this Deal Dozen coupon.

Keep you posted on how it goes!  I've done Bikram with him before.  Since he is innately competitive and barat, I am guaranteed to have fun yoga classes with him.

How old are you again?

Looks easier than it looks
My husband came home with me in this pose. With uglier clothes, less seductive bordering on suffering look.

I just remembered this billboard and I was wondering if I could do it.  I figured I did yoga, I should be able to do this.  Yes, this is one of those moments that just because I do Bikram, I feel like I'm all powerful.

I can do it, maybe with a little less grace and with a painful look on my face.

Come on! Try it at home, better done alone so noone has to laugh at you.

Yes, I will not post my picture in this pose.  Although I did find someone through Google and posed with almost the same outfit.  Ridiculous.

My idol

Because my friend gave me permission to post her pictures.

Someday, I want to be this good (Someday meaning, sometime real soon. Like by the end of this year).

Bow pose

That's how you do it! Standing bow pulling pose
I've known her since 5th grade. Stage friend! Haha.

May asim pa...

I was never the skinny type. My weight has been yoyoing since I don't even remember. I have been on a "diet" since I turned 12. When I turned 12, my mom had vintage things that she had when she was single that didn't fit me. I was just... BIG. (If you need proof, sooner or later, I'll blog about it.)

After ten thousand years, I became a mother. I lost all the pregnancy weight(+the weight I blamed on pregnancy but didn't get really because of that) thanks to breastfeeding but there was still that extra not so baby fat fat that was lying around. My friend (who turned out to be 2011 Spring/Summer TT Yogini awardee) who has been practicing yoga had been bugging me to try it out. I have never been a fan of "fad" exercises/sports because I always think that you don't need to socialize to lose weight and more importantly, you don't need to spend to lose weight.
