La Mesa Ecopark

La Mesa Watershed is the primary source of drinking water for 12 million Metro Manila residents.  The area is around 2700 hectares, 700 hectares is the reservoir and 2000 hectares is the forest surrounding it.

Mia and I went tree planting last Saturday.  I was happy that the weather cooperated.  It wasn't too sunny and it wasn't humid, ready to rain weather either.

Tip: Wear comfortable shoes!

Our goal that day was to put soil in 5 little black plastic bags and place seedlings on each one of them.

After the tree planting, we were briefly toured around the place.  They had horseback riding(P50 or P100), kalesa, fishing, swimming etc., and other kid-friendly activities.  The amenities are decent but I didn't try the bathroom so I can't give an overall rating.
